My new Tucson

On 10/9/2014 I picked up this 2015 Tucson.

I traded in my 06 HHR LT after 8 1/2 years and 138,803 of my driving it.

The Tucson is bigger than the HHR and is a tight fit in my garage.

Not a track car at Watkins Glen this spring. This was the first time I ever took the HHR on a track. It was a fun car.

I returned from the dealer today to have the auto dimming mirror installed. It was part of the deal when I purchased the car, then was told it was not an available on the SE model I bought. After I contacted the dealership, showing that it was indeed an available option, they apologized all over the place, blaming that the service department had initially told them of it not being available.

Just driving back home the compass works and I'll see the next time I'm out driving at night.

So far my average mpg is 28+ (EPA rated hwy is 28) and I have been a lot of mixed driving after 1750 miles on the clock.

A tad over 5000 miles on the clock. I drove down to Key West last weekend and back home, using ECO mode once into the Keys (showed 39 mpg on the dash gauge), but not ECO once back on the turnpike with AC. The car has manage 27.9 mpg since new. The MPG information showed a running average between fill-ups much higher like 34 mpg. I'm unsure why there is such a difference between the readings on the gauge and actual fill-ups.

The mpg reading have been constantly reading 10% high during my trip from Florida to upstate NY. Some 1300 miles most all highway at 65-70 mph. I did see 29+ mpg calculated with an average speed of 60 mph between fill-ups.
